Deidra has worked in Texas public and charter schools for over 25 years, primarily as a Dyslexia and Reading Interventionist and Dyslexia Evaluator. She is a certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) and licensed Dyslexia Practitioner (LDP). Deidra has written several successful assistive technology grants to benefit children with Dyslexia, English Language Learners, and special needs students. She holds an M.Ed. Sp.Ed. from Midwestern State University, Texas. She has been a licensed Educational Diagnostician since 2013. In other roles, she has served as Educational Diagnostician for an Austin pediatric neurologist.
